The Black Stars are back in Ghana after being held to a 1-1 draw by Chad in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers on Thursday.
Ghana looked on course for victory when captain Jordan Ayew struck in the 17th minute at the Stade Olympique Marechal Idriss Deby Itno in N’Djamena.
However, the hosts snatched a dramatic equaliser in the final minute of regulation time to deny Otto Addo’s men all three points.
Despite the late setback, Ghana still sits at the summit of Group I with 16 points after seven matchdays, three points ahead of Madagascar in second place and four clear of Mali in third.
The team has now shifted its attention to Monday’s high-stakes clash against Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium, a fixture that could significantly impact the group’s outcome.
With three matches left to play, the Black Stars remain well-placed to qualify for a fifth World Cup but will need to sharpen their edge in front of home fans to strengthen their advantage.
