A dramatic scene unfolded at the Adabraka District Court on Thursday, September 4, 2025, when the aunt of murdered immigration officer, Stephen King Amoah, performed rituals by breaking eggs and invoking curses on those she believes are responsible for his death.

The incident occurred during the court appearance of the prime suspect, Bright Aweh, and the second suspect, Thomas Zigah, also known as Nii Dzaase, who are standing trial in connection with Amoah’s killing.

“Anyone responsible for his death should also suffer the same fate. All your generation will suffer the same fate; the gods should deal ruthlessly with anyone responsible for his death, the gods shouldn’t spare anyone involved in his murder,” she cursed.

Amoah, 38, was declared missing on July 3, 2025, after leaving home to meet a friend at Ashongman Estate. His charred body was discovered days later, on July 9, at Abuom Junction near Kwabenya, sparking a police manhunt and investigations that led to the arrest of the suspects.

The case has been adjourned to October 9.

Police confirmed that a third suspect linked to the case died after a short illness on August 23, 2025.

The case has attracted wide public attention, with family members expressing grief and anger over the tragic death of Amoah.
