KEY MILESTONES
2007-2009: As Divisional Commander for Accra Central, Yohuno demonstrated his ability to manage complex policing environments with calm and competence.
2011: Awarded the Grand Medal for his outstanding efforts in tackling armed robbery and violent crime, one of Ghana’s highest civilian honours.
2012: Promoted to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP), reflecting his growing influence in law enforcement.
2015: As Director-General of the Motor Traffic and Transport Directorate (MTTD), he implemented key reforms that significantly reduced road traffic accidents.
2016: Promoted to Commissioner of Police (COP), where he continued to build on his successes and eventually became Director-General for Special Duties and Administration.
July 17, 2024: COP Yohuno’s appointed as Deputy IGP for Operations. It marked the pinnacle of his illustrious career, placing him at the helm of critical operations aimed at ensuring national security.
