Some agitated members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) faithfuls at Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese (AAK) Constituency have complained about the conducts of their Member of Parliament, Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofosu.

They made this agitations through a press conference held on Monday, 5th May, 2025, at Abura Dunkwa a suburb of AAK in the Central Region.

They allege that the constituency was allocated 10 slots in the national security recruitment with six for the MP and four for the party's Constituency Chairman, Vincent Koomson. However, three of the Chairman's nominees were replaced by Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofosu.

Addressing the presser, Solomon Bentil, Branch Chairman for Bombey Electoral Area alleged that four individuals: Eunice Annan Tawiah, Peter Akornu Atta, Hon. J.B. Hayford and Hon. Paa Otto's appointments were terminated on the day of the District Chief Executive confirmation.

He alleged that, in the course of appointing government appointees for the assembly, there were thirteen slots with three for the Traditional Councils, where the Constituency Chairman gave the MP four whiles the party maintained six.

Solomon Bentil emphasized that "the MP instructed the Regional Minister to revoke the appointments of four out of the six individuals nominated by the party, claiming he could not work them."

These individuals also alleged that during the 2024 general elections, the then parliamentary candidate, Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofosu ensued that Chairman Vincent Koomson did not receive any campaign materials.

They believe their Member of Parliament, Hon. Felix Kwakye Ofosu has been sabotaging the Constituency Chairman since the 2024 general elections for his selfish interest.

These peeved NDC members admonished that amid the frustrations through the effort of Chairman Vincent, the party successfully regained the seat by a substantial margin of over 11,000 votes.

They, however, call on all meaningful persons in the NDC party to intervene for immediate redress of the mayhem for peace to prevail at Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese Constituency.
