During the inauguration of the university's new Governing Council, Minister for Education Haruna Iddrisu formally announced the renaming, underscoring the profound impact of President Mills' tireless efforts to enhance Ghana's healthcare and education sectors.

 "This renaming stands as a lasting tribute to President Mills' unrelenting dedication to enhancing the nation's healthcare and education landscape," he declared.
