Deputy National Women's Organizer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Hajia Safia Mohammed, has shared worry over the intimidating style of governance adopted by the ruling National Democratic Party (NDC).

According to her, the recent arrest on top NPP officials by the ruling government, will never achieve the desire of diverging the attention of Ghanaians from seeking accountability of the NDC after their four-year term.

Stressing that the 'rambo' style of governance by the NDC cannot as well distract the focus of the NPP in snatching power from them in the 2028 general election.

She told Sompa TV's Eric Annan in an interview at the Central Regional NPP party office in Cape Coast following a Reorganization Tour to the Region to meet up with the party's Women's Wing to seek redress to the NPP's humiliating defeat in the 2024 general election.

Safia Mohammed on the recent arrest by the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) on the NPP Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako also known as Chairman Wontumi, bemoaned that the government should take precaution, since Ghana is not under military rule but a democratic regime.

To this, she admonished the need for government to handle its fight against corruption in a more diplomatic way, since no one sort to oppose such fight.

On rumours surrounding her intention to contest for the party's National Women's Organizer position in the NPP's forthcoming National Delegates Conference, without mincing words confirmed 'yes' to the speculations.

She highlighted to have been encourage to go for the position by Kate Gyamfua, the party's substantive Women's Organizer upon her decision not to contest again for the position.

A motivation she said was well acknowledged by the party's National Women's Wing, hence her desire to contest for the position.
