Empowering Less Privileged: Nkosuohene of Asante Akyem Agogo Offer Financial Help to Brilliant but Needy Students

The Nkosuohene of the Agogo Traditional Council, Nana Kwasi Acheampong has expressed profound support for education within the paramountcy, judging benefits education seeks to offer his area.

Nana Kwasi Acheampong in view of this, has offered a cash donation of GH¢20,000 from his 'Nkosuo Foundation' to ten (10) brilliant but needy students in the Asante Akyem North Municipality in the Ashanti Region yesterday, September 25, 2025, at the Apostolic Church Ghana-Central Chapel.



Personal Assistant to the Nkosuohene, Mr. Williams Amoako, on the chief's behalf revealed his unflinching stance and support so far as education is concern.

Adding that the main motive of the 'Nkosuo Foundation' is to assist brilliant but needy students in the municipality.

He disclosed that the foundation set out to augment education delivery in the Asante Akyem Agogo Municipality, commenced operations last year with support to 2 students who had an amount of GH¢3,000 each.



However, this year's support is an improvement over last year's with 10 students benefiting of the foundation with a sum of GH¢2,000 each



MCE of the Asante Akyem North Municipality, Hon. Sarah Amoakoa upon gracing the ceremony, commended the Nkosuohene for the yeoman's work but unveiled that the Assembly intends to put in place measures to also offer similar support to underprivileged persons in the municipality, should they reach out to the Assembly.
