The Bono Regional Police Command has begun a manhunt for suspected robbers following an alleged attack on passengers traveling along the Berekum–Drobo Road on Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
In a press release issued by the Public Affairs Unit of the Bono regional Police Command, it confirmed that it had “intercepted a viral video circulating on social media about an alleged robbery attack incident.”
The footage, which has been widely shared, reportedly shows scenes connected to the robbery.
The police are appealing to the public—especially victims who may have witnessed the incident—to assist with the investigation.
“The Regional Police Command is urging victims with information to come forward to assist,” the statement said.
Assuring the public of ongoing efforts to track down those responsible, the Command called for calm as investigations continue.
“The command assures the public that efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the perpetrators of the act and that they should remain calm,” the release noted.
The statement was signed by Chief Inspector Thomas Akeelah, Public Relations Officer for the Bono Regional Police Command.
