A young man believed to be in his 30s was allegedly lynched at Penkwasi, a suburb of Sunyani, plunging the neighbourhood into a state of shock.
The residents said they woke up in the early hours of Wednesday, December 3, 2025 to discover the lifeless body, with multiples of wounds.
During a visit, Sompa FM noticed that the body was lying prostrate around His Grace Preparatory School, with scores of people arriving to catch a glimpse.
In an interview, Mr Joe Appiah, the Assembly Member of the Penkwase Lowcost electoral area told Sompa FM that he received a distress call around 4:30 am from a resident informing him about the discovery of the lifeless body.
He expressed concern about the poor lighting system in the area, and called on the city authorities to fix streetlights in the area to help check crime.
