The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has warned that the ban on bush hunting is in force as the dry season sets in.
Assistant Divisional Officer Grade One (ADO1) Kwame Adomako, the Bono Regional Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the GNFS, who gave the warning said it was therefore a serious offence for anybody to undertake hunting expedition
In an interview with Sompa FM in ADO1 Adomako said: “Hunting is seriously prohibited in the season”, saying offenders would be prosecuted, with convicts either paying a fine or incarcerated or both.
ADO1 Adomako predicted that the severity of the harmattan and cautioned everybody to be wary of the way and manner they handled naked fires to avert fire outbreaks.
