Golden Pillars Foundation Donates to Sunyani Central Prison

The Golden Pillars Foundation, a Non- Governmental Organization (NGO) has donated assorted items to the Sunyani Central Prison.

The items presented include; present 300 chicks, bags of maize, wheat and soya, totaling 40 bags to support the prison's institutional farming activities.

This gesture follows the prison's recent win in the security services category for practical agriculture in Sunyani East during the 41st Farmers' Day celebration held last Friday at Abesim.

At a short ceremony, Madam Ranti Adjakou, CEO of Golden Pillars Foundation, explained that her organization made this donation to empower inmates with agricultural skills, enabling them to reintegrate into their communities upon release. She expressed her hope that this initiative would contribute to the rehabilitation and personal growth of the inmates.

Mr. Thompson Otsyokpo, Regional Commander of Bono, Bono East, and Ahafo Regions, and Officer in Charge of Sunyani Central Prison, expressed profound gratitude to Madam Ranti and the Golden Pillars Foundation for their generosity.

He assured that the donated items would be utilized effectively to enhance the prison's farming activities.

Mr. Otsyokpo commended the Golden Pillars Foundation for their support and encouraged other stakeholders to follow same, emphasizing the importance of collaborative efforts in promoting the rehabilitation and welfare of inmates.
