The discovery of a nearly decomposed body of a teacher has thrown the Amanfoso community, near Nsoatre in the Sunyani West Municipality into state of shock.

Madam Attaa Adwoa, the Assembly Member of the Amanfoso Electoral Area told Sompa FM that some residents found the body of Kabore Abuu lying prostrate at a mango farm on Sunday, February 1, 2026.

She described the incident as alarming, saying it was the fifth time such incident had happened in the area and called for police investigations.

Mr Hamza Zakaria a member of the bereaved family told Sompa FM that deceased left home on January 26, 2026, however did not returned.

He said the police had since picked the body and deposited it at the Berekum Holy Family Catholic Hospital for preservation and autopsy as investigations continued.
