Authorities at the Fiapre Health Center in the Sunyani West Municipality are appealing for improved storeroom for the storage and protection of drugs.
According to Madam Augustina Yeboah, the Storekeeper at the Health Center, expressed concern about excessive heat at the storeroom, worrying that the facility was not spacious, saying its faulty air conditioner had worsened the situation now.
During a visit, she told Sompa FM that some of the drugs required specific temperatures to remain efficacious and in order not to lose their potency, calling for rehabilitation and expansion of the facility.
Commenting, Mad Patience Ankoma, the Public Nurse In-charge of the Adolescent Unit at center also highlighted some challenges confronting the facility and called for support from NGOs and corporate bodies towards tackling those pressing challenges.
