Alhaji Collins Dauda, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Asutifi South in the Ahafo Region has inaugurated some facilities in the constituencies.

With support from the MP, the Asutifi South District Assembly facilitated the resumption of work and completion of the abandoned projects initiated by the National Democratic government in 2016.

They include a maternity block and nurses’ quarters for the Mehame Health Center as well as three-unit classroom blocks at Acherensua and Kwaku Nyuma in the constituency.

Speaking at separate ceremonies held at the beneficiary communities, Alhaji Dauda said the facilities were part of a number of “legacy projects” initiated by the NDC administration in 2016 but were abandoned by the previous New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration.

He assured that the government remained dedicated to facilitating the abandoned projects initiated by the NDC government, worrying that though the communities needed those projects, the previous administration failed to complete them for use.
Mr Assabil Donkor, the Asutifi South District Chief Executive urged the people to maintain their confidence in the NDC government, urging them to take proper care of the facilities.
