‎A downpour that hit parts of the Sunyani West and Sunyani Municipalities on Wednesday flooded several households at Fiapre, near Sunyani.

‎The rains which accompanied incessant lightnings and storms hit the municipalities Wednesday March 4, 2026 night.
‎
‎Some of the affected residents told Sompa FM that the rains collapsed a bridge being put up at the Fiapre-Dumasua portion, around Sheila Lodge hotel of the on-going construction of the Sunyani Outer City Road project in the area.
‎
‎They threatened to hit the street if authorities failed to attend to the situation and to stem future mishap.
‎Agya Henneh, a community leader and spokesperson for the affected people expressed their frustration, saying that parts of the Sheila lodge, several poultry farms residential houses were flooded.
