The Ashanti Regional Security Secretariat has formally recognised media personality, Oheneni Adazoa, for her role in exposing criminal activities and promoting accountability in society.

In a letter issued by the National Security Council’s Ashanti Regional office, the Secretariat praised the broadcaster for her “exceptional dedication and contributions to the safety and well-being” of Ghana through her programme, Sompa Nkomo, aired on Sompa FM.

Signed by the Deputy Ashanti Regional Security Liaison Officer, Alhaji Alhassan Tabsoba, the letter highlighted the impact of her work in uncovering crime and illegal activities.

It noted that her efforts have not only brought criminal acts to light but have also helped foster a culture of accountability across the country.

“Your tireless work has significantly contributed to the exposure of criminal activities and has promoted a culture of accountability in Ghana,” the statement said.

The Secretariat further described her commitment to truth and justice as a reflection of responsible citizenship and patriotism, assuring her of continued backing from the state.

National Security also pledged protection for the media personality and her team against any form of threats or intimidation, warning that individuals or groups who attempt to undermine their safety would face “swift and uncompromising action.”

The recognition underscores the growing role of the media in supporting law enforcement efforts and maintaining public accountability, particularly in regions grappling with rising concerns over crime.

The Secretariat encouraged the broadcaster to continue her work, reaffirming its support as she uses her platform to spotlight wrongdoing and advocate for justice.
