The Ghana Police Service has assured the public of comprehensive security arrangements to ensure a peaceful and incident-free Eid al-Fitr celebration across the Accra Region.

In a press release issued on March 19, 2026, the Accra Regional Police Command said it has deployed sufficient personnel to key locations, including mosques, Eid prayer grounds, major roads, markets, and transport terminals, to safeguard lives and property during the festivities.

The Command also announced the deployment of special traffic management teams to regulate vehicular movement before, during, and after prayers.

These measures are expected to ease congestion and enhance road safety across the capital.

Additionally, police patrols will be intensified within communities to deter crime and ensure a swift response to emergencies.

The Police urged residents to remain vigilant and cooperate with security personnel, while encouraging the public to report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station.

Meanwhile, motorists and pedestrians have also been advised to adhere strictly to traffic regulations to ensure a safe and orderly celebration.
