Mrs Joyce Caitlyn Ocansey, the Programme's Coordinator of the Drive Electric Programme of the Energy Commission (EC) has assured government dedication to improving safety, as the nation transit to Electric Vehicles (EVs) transportation.

Speaking to the media in an interview in Sunyani on the Sidelines of stakeholder awareness and sensitization on the Electric Vehicle Charging Stations and Swap System Regulations, urged private sector investments into solar-powered charging systems.

The Commission organised the exercise held at the Centre of Excellence of the Sunyani Technical University (STU) to enlighten stakeholders on the regulations.

Professor Evans Zoya Kpamma, the Acting Pro-Vice Chancellor of the STU noted that transition to the ultilization of EVs remained essential to promote cleaner energy sustainability and meeting the nation's obligations on climate.



The Reverend Engineer Dr Frimpong Kyeremeh, the Director of the STU Centre of Excellence called on the commission to intensified public awareness creation on the utilization of the EVs.
