The Methodist Church Ghana has renamed the Amoaman Methodist Church to James Kwaku Oppong Memorial Chapel, in recognition of Mr. James Kwaku Oppong's selfless dedication to building the church.

The renaming ceremony, held at Amoaman in the Bohyen Circuit of the Kumasi North Diocese, Ashanti region brought together church leaders, including bishops, Ministers, and members of the Men's Fellowship Association from across the country.

Mr. Thomas Soadwah, Chairman of the Kumasi North Diocesan Men's Fellowship, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Oppong for his tireless service, dedication, and love for God.
He acknowledged Mr. Oppong's instrumental role in establishing the Men's Fellowship in the Kumasi Diocese, which has since grown and flourished. "His name still reigns forever," Mr. Soadwah said, as they celebrated Mr. Oppong's legacy as a pillar of the Men's Fellowship.

The renaming ceremony was a fitting tribute to Mr. Oppong's unwavering commitment to the church, which he supported with his own resources.

The event was attended by church leaders and members from the conexional, Diocese, Circuit, and branch levels, who gathered to honor his memory and celebrate his enduring legacy.
