The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese (AAK) District in the Central Region, Hon. Daniel Mensah Wardy, has strongly defended his performance in office, stating that he has performed creditably well under a year, to turn the district into a construction zone despite mounting criticism from some residents and political opponents.

Addressing the media during an “Accounting to the People” engagement at Asebu on Friday, 27th March, 2026, the DCE insisted that his administration has made significant strides across key sectors, urging constituents to objectively assess his achievements which are they for everyone to behold.

The DCE maintained that his performance is evident in ongoing and completed projects across the district.

“I have performed creditably well within this short period. The records are there for all to see. I believe the good people of AAK will appreciate the work we have done so far,” he stated.

He emphasized that governance should be measured by impact rather than political rhetoric, calling on critics to base their assessments on facts.

Highlighting his administration’s progress, the DCE pointed to interventions in infrastructure development including road rehabilitation, health projects including construction and renovation of CHP Compounds, renovation of DCE's residence at Abura Dunkwa, education support through provision of logistics and improvement of school facilities, as well as agriculture support programmes for farmers to boost productivity.

Some constituents who had the opportunity to attend the program, shared hope and believe in the NDC government with the developmental works witnessed under its regime together with the administration of the DCE, as they commended him for the marvelous work done so far as well as the explicit presentation in his bid to account to the people of AAK on what he has been able to achieve since his assumption as DCE of the district.
