Sunyani Technical University dismisses students for examination fraud

The Sunyani Technical University (STU) has dismissed three students for engaging in examination malpractices.
In a statement issued and signed by Mr S. A Obour, the University's Registrar, sighted by Sompa FM, and dated April 8, 2026 said the students engaged in the acts during the Second Semester re-sit examination of the 2024/2025 academic year.
The statement was captured "Impersonation Offense, and Possession and Use of Unauthorized Material", at exam hall, explaining that "Dr
Solomon Yeboah arranged for another person to write the examination on his behalf".
"Miss Mercy Masu and Mr Wisdom Kwame Agbo went to the examination hall with unauthorized materials on them"
, it stated,
reiterating that: "Examination malpractice in any form will not be tolerated and severe sanctions will be applied to offenders".
The statement said the dismissal was to protect the sanctity, credibility, and integrity of the university's examination system and expected all students to hold academic integrity at all times.
