Police Declare Suspect Wanted Over Missing Person Case in Accra

The Accra Regional Police Command has declared a man, identified as Wisdom Tetteh, wanted in connection with the disappearance of Theophilus Ashitey Amarh.

‎In a press release dated April 14, 2026, the police said the suspect is being sought following ongoing investigations into the case. 

‎Preliminary findings indicate that the missing man was last seen at his residence, where suspected bloodstains were later discovered, raising fears of possible foul play.

‎According to the police, intelligence gathered so far suggests that the suspect may have fled Ghana to neighbouring Togo.

‎“The Accra Regional Police Command has officially declared suspect Wisdom Tetteh wanted, and is calling on the public to assist in his arrest,” the statement said.

‎The police have urged anyone with information on the whereabouts of the suspect to report to the nearest police station or contact emergency numbers. 

‎Authorities assured the public that efforts are underway to apprehend the suspect and bring him to justice.

‎The statement was signed by Superintendent Juliana Obeng, Head of Public Affairs for the Accra Region.
