Alhaji Imam Baba Seidu, the Bono Regional Chief Imam has lauded the interventions of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA) towards creating job opportunities and empowering vulnerable young people in the country.
He said Mr Malik Basintale, the Executive Officer of the YEA ought to be commended for his exceptional leadership and initiatives.
Alhaji Seidu gave the commendation when Mr Basintale paid a courtesy on him in Sunyani, indicating that as the future leaders of the region, there was the need for the YEA to do more to create job opportunities for them.
On is part, Mr Basintale said that presently, the YEA run 18 modules that offered employable skills training for the youth and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to youth empowerment and development.

He gave the assurance that the YEA would continue providing the required assistance to the beneficiaries to set up their own business after they had completed their trainings.
Mr Basintale announced plans to re-introduce the Arabic instructor’s module, which was previously part of the YEA programmes and to extend opportunities for the interested youth.
