The Aburi District Command has arrested eleven suspects in connection with the possession of illegal arms and ammunition tied to the ongoing chieftaincy dispute in Adambrobe.

According to a press release issued by the Eastern Regional Public Affairs Unit, ten suspects were initially apprehended by the Aburi District Command on Sunday, May 3, 2026, during an operation in the area.

The arrests were made following intelligence linking the individuals to the unlawful possession of weapons amid tensions surrounding the local chieftaincy conflict.
