A man who appeared in a viral video wearing a mask and threatening police officers and soldiers over the arrest of armed robbers has been arrested by the police in the Ashanti Region.

The suspect, identified as Opoku Emmanuel, was arrested on May 7, 2026, at Jacobu in the Amansie Central District through a police operation.

A police statement issued on Thursday said the suspect warned security personnel in the video not to arrest armed robbers and threatened to kill any officer who confronted him.
