Sunyanihene unveils Customary Land Secretariat to enhance land administration

Odeefour Ogyeamansan Boahen Korkor II, the Paramount Chief of the Sunyani Traditional Area has inaugurated the Customary and Lands Secretariat (CLS) for the Sunyani Traditional Council.

The CLS is tasked to manage and address multiple sales of lands as well as land dispute and litigations.



Speaking at a ceremony held at the Royal Palace in Sunyani, Odeefour

Ogyeamansan Korkor II expressed concern about the rise in lands disputes and litigations in the area, saying that most of the cases brought before the council was relating to land disputes.



Odeefour Ogyeamansan cautioned the secretariat to operate an open-door administration and make transparency, accountability and integrity hallmarks.



 Dr Gad Asorwoe Akwensivie, the Acting Administrator of Stool Lands highlighted the mandate of the CLS, saying that the country now had about 100 CLS.
