Mr Alfred Tuah-Yeboah, a former Deputy Attorney General has welcomed President John Dramani Mahama assenting the Legal Education Reform Law, saying that law would strengthen legal education in the country.
President John Dramani Mahama assented to the Legal Education Reform Act 2026 ends monopoly in the nation’s legal education and thereby paving the way for the private sector to establish law schools.
Speaking to Ama Konadu on the Sunyani-based Sompa FM’s “Adea Akye Abia” morning show, Mr Tuah-Yeboah described the Act as laudable, saying that its passage could lead to the cancellation of the Ghana School of Law entrance exams that denied many people legal education.
Mr Tuah-Yeboah said the enforcement of the Act would open the flood gates for the establishment and licensing of private law schools in the country.
