The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, has arrived at the Korwor Community Dialogue to engage residents, children, and stakeholders on issues relating to social protection and child welfare.
The dialogue forms part of efforts by the Ministry to educate the public on government social protection interventions, child rights, and the importance of safeguarding vulnerable groups within communities.

Speaking at the event, the Minister commended the National Health Insurance Scheme for partnering with the Ministry to help ease the financial burden on community members, noting that some individuals are often denied access to healthcare services due to financial challenges.

She urged residents to take full advantage of the free health insurance services available to improve their health and wellbeing.
According to the Minister, social protection should not be viewed as charity but as an investment in human dignity, social protection, and national development.

She further emphasized the importance of promoting gender equality and strengthening the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) programme to support vulnerable households across the country.

The engagement brought together community members, parents, children, and stakeholders to discuss ways of improving social welfare and ensuring inclusive development within the community.
