‎The Coalition of Unposted Nurses and Midwives has raised alarm over what it calls a crisis threatening the livelihoods of thousands of health professionals and the stability of Ghana’s healthcare system, citing over 70,000 qualified graduates left without postings since 2021.
‎
‎Speaking on behalf of the coalition, President Chris Asamoah Boaten said the group represents “thousands of fully qualified, licensed, and highly trained professionals” who completed years of academic training and passed licensing exams, only to face forced unemployment.
‎
‎After a long, painful and deeply discouraging period of waiting, empty assurances and systematic uncertainty, we are here to ensure that the voices of these forgotten professionals are finally heard by the highest offices of the land,” he said.
‎
‎Boaten criticized the Ministry of Health for abandoning what he described as a predictable and transparent system.
