The Municipal Chief Executive for Suame in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Frank Owusu Ansah, has called on the Muslim community, traditional leaders, and the youth to prioritize unity and peace as the foundation for development in the municipality.

Speaking during this year’s Eid Al-Adha celebration at State Boys, Hon. Owusu Ansah said the occasion should serve as a reminder for residents to set aside differences and work together for the common good of Suame.

“What I am asking from the youth and the Muslim community as we mark Eid is unity and togetherness. With peace, development can thrive, and everyone can live with peace of mind,” he said.

The MCE urged young people to be responsible and project a positive image of the municipality. He also appealed to Muslim leaders and community elders to collaborate with the assembly in addressing challenges facing residents.

Hon. Owusu Ansah encouraged community members to engage directly with his office on issues affecting them, stressing that open dialogue is key to solving problems.

“As an MCE, if anything is going wrong, come to me with your concerns so I can address your needs,” he stated.

He reaffirmed the assembly’s commitment to working with all stakeholders to improve livelihoods, promote social cohesion, and ensure lasting peace in Suame.

As part of the celebrations, Hon. Owusu Ansah donated sheep to Muslim leaders for sacrifice and prayers for the President and the assembly.

Meanwhile, the Assemblyman for the Kronum Kyerase Electoral Area, Hon. Elvis Nyantakyi, popularly known as Yesmadam, also urged the Muslim community to make peace and unity their priority.
