rCOMSDEP has extended its comprehensive training programme for small-scale miners to Bunso in the Eastern Region as

part of efforts to formalize and strengthen Ghana’s small-scale mining sector.

The training programme is aimed at equipping miners with the knowledge, skills, and best practices needed to promote responsible, safe, and environmentally sustainable mining operations.

Participants are being trained in key areas including regulatory compliance, occupational health and safety, environmental management, and modern mining techniques. The initiative seeks to improve productivity while ensuring the protection of communities and natural resources.

According to rCOMSDEP, the programme forms part of its broader mandate to promote responsible mining practices, enhance livelihoods, and support the development of a more structured, accountable, and sustainable small-scale mining industry across Ghana.
