IT Expert, Mr. Thomas Graham Wilberforce, has disclosed that his desire for an uninterrupted internet service in Simiw, a suburb of the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem Municipality in the Central Region as he moves to tackle persistent connectivity challenges in the community.
He observed that poor and unstable internet access has been limiting students, businesses, and health facilities in Simiw and surrounding communities, hence the quest for an improved internet connection.
“My expectation is an uninterrupted internet service in Simiw, I’ve seen how the lack of reliable connectivity has held back education, commerce, and even telemedicine here which has to change,” he noted.
He disclosed that work is underway to deploy a robust internet solution for the area, and that he is determined to commission the project in July 2026. The intervention is expected to provide stable, high-speed access to residents, schools, and local enterprises.
Mr. Wilberforce noted that the project forms part of his corporate social responsibility.
Residents of Simiw also welcomed the announcement, saying consistent internet access would open up new opportunities for digital learning and online business in the municipality.
