The Ghana Union of Professional Students GUPS would on Saturday July 30, 2022 organize its first general assembly meeting for the 2022/2023 academic year under the current leadership of the Union lead by H.E Emily Jemima Nyarko.
The event will take place at the Wisconsin International University College in Kumasi at exactly 10 am.
In a memo released by the National Secretariat of the Union to all Member Institutions indicated that, Members of the Nation Executive Committee NEC and General Assembly GA Members are mandated to ensure the progress and smooth running of the Union in accordance with the GUPS constitution.
" Pursuant to the Article 13 clause 6 of the GUPS Constitution, Members of the Nation Executive Committee NEC and General Assembly GA Members are mandated to ensure the progress and smooth running of the Union. "
The National Secretariat of the Union further indicated that, the agendum includes:
To deliberate on current affairs of the Union
Swearing In of new NEC/GA Members
Appointment/ swearing in of Committee members thus Judicial board, Auditing board.
The General Assembly is the principal decision-making body, policy-making body and representative body of the Ghana Union of professional Students General Assembly.
GA is made up of all GUPS Member Institutions, and offers a singular forum for multilateral discussion of student issues, including Student relations and development.
