News emanating from Abuakwa-Nneribehi main stretch road has it that about 3 people are confirmed dead, scores injured in an accident involving a School bus at Abuakwa.

The sad news that happened in the early hours of Wednesday, August 3, 2022, indicates that at least three people have lost their lives in an accident.

The incident happened at Abuakwa-Maakro in the Atwima Nwabiagya South Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

The reports gathered by this portal have it that, the accident involved two vehicles: a school bus and a passenger's Ford.

According to the report, the Ford with registration number GS 3600-12, with full passengers onboard, heading towards Kumasi from Nerebehi failed to break, crashing with the Martyrs of Uganda Preparatory School Bus with registration number GW 5810-16.

Two passengers of the Ford died on the spot.

The scores of injured passengers were rushed to the Abuakwa Poly Clinic where one other passenger died upon arrival.

The death toll now stands at three (3) including a 13-year-old conductor of the Ford according to Ben Kwarteng, an eyewitness.

The remaining passengers are receiving treatment at the Abuakwa Poly Clinic.

No student died in the accident.
