Dr Gideon Boako, the Member of Parliament for Tano North Constituency in the Ahafo Region has awarded scholarship to 127 tertiary students in the area.
Speaking at a short ceremony at Tanoso, he said the package aimed at motivating the beneficiaries and thereby inspired others to remain studious so as to achieve high academic laurels.
Dr Boako announced plans to pay regular visits to the beneficiaries at their respective schools, just not to intrude on their personal lives, but rather to foster a closer relationship and monitor their academic progress as well.
Some of the beneficiaries and their families expressed gratitude to the MP for the support that would greatly lessen their financial burdens.
