Madam Millicent Amankwaa Yeboah, the Member of Parliament for Sunyani West has donated GHC200,000 for the renovation of a dilapidated building to serve as fire station at Chiraa in the constituency.
She told the media during a presentation ceremony at Chiraa that it was unfortunate that the community had no fire station to respond to outbreaks.

Barima Mintah Afari II, the Chief of Chiraa and the Benkumhene of the Dormaa Traditional Area thanked the MP for the support, urging the Bono Regional Fire Command to expedite action for the fire station.

The Assistant Chief Fire Officer (ACFO) Cecil R. Addo, the Bono Regional Commander of the Ghana National Fire Service promised that the fire station would be ready within a month.
