A former parliamentary aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Sunyani West Constituency, Amma Frimpomaa ESQ, has expressed concerns about what she describes as a lack of visible development projects undertaken by the current Member of Parliament from the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Kwasi Kyei Baffour (KKB) on Saturday, March 7, 2026, edition of ‘Me Man Nti’ at Sompa Fm-Sunyani, the lawyer and former NPP parliamentary aspirant said she has not observed any major projects implemented in the constituency since the NDC assumed power.
“I cannot pinpoint any significant things done by the NDC in Sunyani West after they took over power,” Frimpomaa stated during the interview.
She indicated that the only issue she has heard about relates to a proposal involving a community library, which she said was reportedly considered for conversion into a fire station.
“What I know is the library the MP wanted to change to a fire station, but the people were kicking against it,” she said.
Frimpomaa noted that she was uncertain whether the project or any other initiatives had commenced but expressed hope that any development started in the constituency would be completed for the benefit of residents.
“I don’t know if they are yet to start, but I wish they will have enough money to complete any project they start so that it will benefit the people in Sunyani and the region,” she added.
Her remarks come amid ongoing political discussions about development priorities and infrastructure delivery in the Sunyani West Constituency within the Bono Region.
