President John Dramani Mahama has urged Ghanaians to work collectively toward a more transparent, accountable, and inclusive nation, highlighting citizen engagement as central to the government’s “Resetting Ghana” agenda during his tour at the Bono Region.
Addressing local leaders, youth groups, and civil society actors, President Mahama said, “Development must be visible and accessible to all. Together, we can build a stronger Ghana where every community benefits from growth and opportunity.”

He used the platform to report progress on key infrastructure and social projects, including the Jinijini–Sampa Road, GETFund-supported upgrades at Sunyani Senior High School, and the rollout of 24-hour economy markets designed to stimulate local commerce.

President Mahama also outlined reforms aimed at strengthening development financing, with increased allocations to the Ghana Education Trust Fund, the National Health Insurance Scheme, and District Assemblies.

He commended Cassiel Ato Forson for his stewardship of the economy under the “Big Push” agenda.

Highlighting youth empowerment, the President encouraged participation in initiatives like the Adwumawura Programme and the National Apprenticeship Programme, emphasizing that transparent governance and investment in young people are key to sustainable national development.
