Elder Simon Ampaabeng Kyeremeh, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Berekum East in the Bono Region has cut the sod for work to begin on the construction of a Technical and Vocational Institute (TVTI) project at Senase in the Berekum Municipality.
The MP also performed another ground breaking ceremony for the execution of a new Basic School project for the Sofokyere community in the area.
Speaking at separate ceremonies at Senase and Sofokyere, Mr Kyeremeh said he was funding the construction of the classroom blocks and other educational projects to expand access to quality education in the area.
He handed over the two sites to the JS Skytech Limited, the contractors, and asked them to speed up to complete the TVTI projects within 18 months.
Mr David Owusu Ansah, the Berekum Municipal Director of Education, expressed appreciation to the MP and the government for improving educational facilities in the municipality.
Mr Wilson Amevor, the Managing Director of JS Skytech Limited noted that with cooperation from stakeholders, the company would be able to complete the projects as scheduled.
