Mr Issaka Saliu, the Bono Director of Research for Youth Working Committee of the National Democratic Congress has filed nominations to vie for the Bono Regional Secretary position of the NDC.
In an interview with the media after filing his nomination papers at the NDC's Bono Regional Office in Sunyani, he pledged to strengthen the party structures at the grassroots levels.

He noted that the party in the region had gaps in its communications at the grassroots and called on the NDC in the region to vote for him and to tackle those gaps.

Mr Saliu pledged to ensure that the NDC had befitting party offices in all the 12 constituencies in the region when he was given the nod as a regional secretary.
He recollected the history of the NDC and commended the party for its contributions towards sustaining the nation's democracy, urging the party to remain formidable and disallowing its internal elections to break their rank and file.
