With only days remaining before matchdays 9 and 10 of the African qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has finalised venues for the upcoming fixtures.

The October international window will be decisive, as it will determine the nine African nations that will secure places at the World Cup, set to be staged in the United States, Canada, and Mexico from June 11 to July 19, 2026.

Reliable sources indicate that CAF has reduced the number of matches hosted in Morocco to five, compared to around 10 in previous international windows. A total of 13 fixtures will now take place outside the North African country, signalling a shift in venue allocations.

Below is the schedule of qualifiers to be played in Morocco:

October 8, Casablanca (Al-Arabi Zouali Stadium): Djibouti vs Egypt

October 8, El Jadida (Al-Abdi Stadium): Central African Republic vs Ghana

October 10, Casablanca (Mohammed V Stadium): Guinea vs Botswana (unofficial date)

October 10, Rabat (Moulay Abdellah Stadium): Morocco vs Congo-Brazzaville (unofficial date)

October 12, El Jadida (Al-Arabi Zouali Stadium): Djibouti vs Sierra Leone

These fixtures will be closely watched, with continental powerhouses like Ghana, Egypt, and Morocco entering a decisive phase of their qualification campaigns.
