Bayern Munich head coach Vincent Kompany has praised his team for delivering a top defensive performance to bag a big win over the UEFA Champions League defending champions.

The German side beat Paris Saint-Germain 2-1 in France but had to play the second half with a man down after Luis Diaz picked up a red card late in the first half.

Beating PSG extends Bayern Munich’s winning streak to 15 games in all competitions to start the 2025-2026 season and Vincent Kompany loved how the team’s latest win was secured.

“It was hard work and emotions…those are the feelings we had after the game. In the end, we did it together. I also want us to enjoy it when we have to defend.”

“We know that the Champions League isn’t decided yet but today, was a really important three points for us” Kompany said to Bayern media.

39 year old Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer was named Man of the Match.
