Sompa Fm health program dubbed Healing Point has introduced a new segment called the local delicacies.
According to the host and CEO of 21st clinic, Dr. Blessed Foster, the rate at which women suffer from complications after pregnancy is highly due to their diet and has advised women to eat more of the local made food especially the nursing mothers and pregnant women.
He admonished that lack of balance diet for such women has the tendency of causing such complications and that calls for the new segment to help women learn the old local delicacies that help pregnant and lactating mothers to free themselves from these complications after pregnancy and regain their health.
On the maiden show, Oheneyere Adwoa Yeboah introduced what she called “Abem Dro” a local delicacy used by pregnant and lactating mothers after pregnancy.
She explains that the “Abem Duro” contains local herbs and needs to be prioritized.
“You need local palm nut, Aya (Ferns), “Owofuo bewe tua” prekesse (Aidan fruit) Hwentia (Negro Pepper) Abeduru or kwanwu nsosuaa (Turkey Berry) in addition to some selected herbs and ingredients to mix to get the “Abem Duro”, soup and anyone can take the soup but especially pregnant women.
She explains that the soup contains some vital health benefits which help women to recover from any health complications after delivery.
She said women, experience a loss of appetite and lose weight after pregnancy and need this kind of food to revitalize them.
The segment is scheduled to come off every Saturday during the Healing Point health show on Sompa Tv/Radio
