A lecturer at Christian Women Leadership School, Mrs. Mary Opoku Baah has clarified that women in their menopausal stage need immense self-control to handle the blights that come with the stage.
She made this statement while speaking in an interview with Abrewatia Akua Asiamah on Sompa TV/FM's Healing Point, where she mentioned that it is common to find women in their menopausal stage undressed or with just a piece of cloth tied to their waist only leaving their breasts bare.
Mrs. Mary Baah attributed this attitude to the absence of estrogen in the body, calling it a hormonal change.
"A woman going through menopause may have headaches, encounter hot flashes, and feel too uncomfortable to wear clothes. This then requires a level of self-control to resist the urge to go naked," she emphasized.
She continued to state that menopausal signs and symptoms vary from individual depending on several factors. "Unfortunately, these symptoms are often misconstrued as mental illness"- she added.
