Improve Other Markets In AAK District with 24-Hour Economy Market Resources- Okatakyi Prof. Amenfi VI Calls on DCE

Omanhene of the Asebu Traditional Area in the Central Region, Okatakyi Prof. Amenfi VII, has advocated for the use of resources of 24-Hour Economy Market to improve other markets in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese (AAK) District.

‎Okatakyi Prof. Amenfi VII made this call at the launching of the Apayamkese Festival 2026 at Asebu in the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese District of the Central Region, held on the theme: "Development of Asebuman is a Collective Responsibility: Don't Sit on the Fence."

‎He noted that the AAK District Assembly dominate in agriculture with major markets such as Asebu, Abaka, Nyame Do Me, and Nkroful that require urgent upgrade to boost local trade.

‎Okatakyi Prof. Amenfi VII said that as a development expert who has spearheaded the construction of several markets like the Kintampo and Techiman extension market, he understands the economic value of well-developed market infrastructure.

‎Meanwhile, the District Chief Executive for the Abura-Asebu-Kwamankese District, Hon. Daniel Mensah Wardy, assured the gathering of the timely interventions government is undertaking to create job opportunities in the District.

‎He pleaded with residents to exercise patience, adding that cooperation has been negotiated for the completion of ongoing projects such as the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) office complex in the District.
