Kyeremekrom community appeals for potable drinking water

The chiefs and people of Kyeremekrom, a farming community, near Wawasua in the Sunyani Municipality have appealed for clean water and street lights.

According to them, the only borehole in the community had broken down, worrying that a pipe project connected to a small poly tank could not pump water because of poor electricity supply to the area.

During a visit, Nana Kofi Ampaabeng Keyeremeh, the chief linguist at Kyeremekrom told Sompa FM that the resident now shared the only stream in the area with stray animals.

That he added was detrimental to the health and wellbeing of the people and called for support towards the provision of potable water in the community.

Nana Kyeremeh also expressed concern about poor lighting system in the community, stressing that the street lights not functioning well and thereby polarizing the security of the community.
