Mr Samuel Ziga, a Senior Lecturer at the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), has called on the government to do more to end the Senior High School double track system in the country.
In an interview with Ama Konadu on the Sunyani-based Sompa FM "Adea Akyi Abia" morning show, he said the double track system was affecting the performance of students, and thereby impeding education growth and development.
Mr Ziga said the present situation under the system where students spend more months in home during vacations was not helping at all.
Mr Ziga said ending the double track required that the government improve physical infrastructure development and engage more teachers as well.
