Mr Issaka Amon Kotie, a Local Government expert has called on Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) to deepen their collaboration with stakeholders to improve the nation's local government system.
He said that a strengthened collaboration was required to promote citizens active participation in decision making process at all levels of government and to push community development.
Mr Kotie made the call when he spoke to Ama Konadu on the Sunyani- based Sompa FM "Adeakye Abia" morning show.
Mr Kotie highlighted a major gap in the local government system, worrying that many of the District Assemblies operated in isolation in decision making processes.
