Mr. Richmond Kwame Frimpong, the Chief Executive Officer of Pan African Tech Company has said a country with less than three months import cover will be grinded to a halt.
The Bank of Ghana Governor Dr. Ernest Addison revealed that the country’s import cover can sustain the country for just six months.
This was when he appeared before the public accounts committee of Parliament Tuesday January 17.
But in an interview with Sompa News, Mr Frimpong explained, the country’s balance of payment is negative and Ghana needs to complete our discussions with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) as soon possible to save the dire consequences the country faces in the coming days.
He said ‘’the country will be grinded to a halt in the coming days if the government does not seal a deal with the International Monetary Fund in the next month.”
