Management of Sompa Tv / FM has donated to Wofa Yaw Asubonten, the retired news caster has been on the sick bed for some time now, the gesture by the media house was part of its social responsibility to give back to the society.

Presenting the items that includes toiletries, Rice, Oil, assorted drinks and an undisclosed amount, the general manager for Teraone Media, operators of Sompaonline.com. Sompa FM in Kumasi, Sompa FM in Sunyani, Sompa TV, Mr Collins Amo-Poku said, Akan news has taken over the media space in the Region because of Wofa Yaw Asubonten,

He reflected on the olden days when the astute broadcaster was at his peak, his pronunciation of words made him standout among his peer. He further stated that, even though Wofa is no longer active in the industry, he has mentor a lot of journalists in the region.

On his part, he thanked the team for their kind gesture and asked for more.

“I am grateful, I never dreamt of this day, I’m emotional, thank you for remembering me, I appreciate this gesture, God bless you and your people, He said in a very low tone.

The former news anchor has been ill for sometime now, and need the help of the people.
